The Indian Agriculture College was established by Joshua Educational & Charitable Trust and it got the approval from Tamil Nadu Govt. G.O. (Ms) No :172/2016 and affiliated to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore (No:EI/AC/10910/2016). We have to bring students into new relationship to food that connects them to Culture & Agriculture

As his father, he is also a visionary and missionary in the field of quality Education . He is graduated in Computer Science and Engineering and Master of Business Administration from USA . He also worked in MNCs in Canada and USA.He has served as consultant for several Multinational projects across Globe.With this background ,he implements all his experiences and his innovative ideas and thoughts into translating our institution into a temple of learning.

Advisor - Dr. E. I. Jonathan M.Sc. (Ag.), Ph.D, PDF(USA).

Dr. E. I. Jonathan had M. Sc. (Ag.) degree in Agricultural Entomology and subsequently Ph.D. in Plant Nematology at TNAU, Coimbatore. Undergone Post Doctoral Research at North Carolina State University, USA during 1998. He has completed 37 years of service involving, research, teaching and guided 24 M.Sc. (Ag.) and 19 Ph.D. students. He has published 12 books and 116 research papers in reputed National and International Journals.

During his tenure (2009-2013) as Director, Centre for Plant Protection Studies, TNAU, Coimbatore he contributed for major agronomic, ecological and economic break through in Agriculture by employing classical biocontrol for an invasive mealybug. He has organized National and International conferences in Tamil Nadu. He has successfully completed several Government of India funded projects (DBT, DST, ICAR and NADP) as Principal Investigator.

Principal- Dr.S.Manickavasagam M.Sc(Agri), Ph.D, PDF(UK)

Dr. S. Manickavasagam had his B.Sc. (Ag) and M.Sc. (Ag) in Agricultural Entomology from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, and Ph.D. from IARI, New Delhi. Done Post-Doctoral Research at Natural History Museum, London availing the prestigious Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship during 2007. Served as a Visiting Scientist at Institute of Plant Protection, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing, China. Since his Ph.D. in 1991, he has been concentrating on “Biodiversity of Insect Parasitoids” and described nearly 100 new species of insect parasitoids.

During his tenure at the Department of Entomology, Faculty of Agriculture, Annamalai University for over 28 years, he has mobilized more than 3 crores of rupees from external funding agencies and was instrumental in creating many specialized laboratories for doing Entomological Research. The notable ones are for Insect Taxonomy and Biological control. He has initiated a unique “Insect Museum” containing lakhs of insect specimens where all insect orders known from India are housed and displayed including the immatures. Insect Parasitoid collections are unique and even praised by global experts. About 25 species of chalcid parasitoids have been coded and deposited with Genebank and got the accession numbers.

He has travelled to more than 15 countries to share his research findings / visit advanced laboratories. Published more than 160 papers in National and International journals, 10 books/book chapters and has a descent i-10 and h- indices. He has guided 14 Ph.D. and 31 M.Sc. (Ag) scholars. Recipient of honours like FRES, FESI, FPPAI, FSBA, Prof. T.N. Ananthakrishnan Award-2014 and Rao Sahib Dr. T. V. Ramakrishna Ayyar memorial award-2021.

Dr. Y. Melba

Dr. Y. Melba had completed her B.Sc. (Agri.) from Annamalai University, Chidambaram and M.Sc. (Ag) and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. After completing her PG, she worked as “Junior Research Fellow” in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, from 30.09.2013 to 30.09.2014. Then she worked as Assistant Professor in College of Agricultural Technology, Theni from 06.01.2015 to 31.10.2016.

After that she worked as Assistant Professor in The Indian Agriculture College, Tirunelveli from 15.12.2016 to 18.08.2017. After securing Ph.D., she worked as Assistant Professor in “Don Bosco College of Agriculture”, Arakkonam. She had published eight research papers in reputed national and international journals.

Dr. R. Vijayan

Dr. R. Vijayan is a Veterinarian. He is specialized in Veterinary Clinical Medicine. He has more than 30 years of experience in Teaching, Research and Extension activities in the Kerala Agricultural University. He has published 22 research papers, 3 books and 76 popular articles. Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Govt. of India, New Delhi has awarded Senior Research Fellowship on Veterinary Clinical Medicine and Certificate of appreciation awarded by Kerala Agricultural University for securing Externally Funded Projects during the period 19/08/2000 to 31/12/2004.

Dr. M. Syamala

Dr. M. Syamala had B.Sc.(Agri) at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Killikulam. She completed her M. Sc. (Agri.) from Agricultural college and research institute, Madurai. She was awarded with Ph.D. degree in Plant pathology, Coimbatore. She was awarded with UGC fellowship for Ph.D. She has published 22 research papers and popular articles in reputed National and International Journals.

She has attended several National and international conferences. Currently, she is working as Associate Professor in Plant pathology, The Indian Agriculture College, Radhapuram.

Dr. J. Gowri Prakash

Dr. J. Gowri Prakash, obtained B.Sc. in Agriculture, M.Sc. in Agricultural Entomology and Ph.D. for her thesis “Morphology Vs Molecular Phylogeny in diagnosing Indian Chalcididae” from the Faculty of Agriculture, Annamalai University. While pursuing her doctoral research she was bestowed with the prestigious Commonwealth split-site doctoral scholarship and continued molecular part of her research in Imperial College in association with Natural History Museum, London.

During her stay in London, she examined and imaged all the Indian chalcidid types deposited with NHM. She has vast exposure in morphology based identification of hymenopteran parasitoids, especially chalcidids. So far, she has described 3 new species and recorded more than 20 new distributional records of chalcidids. After securing Ph.D. she served as Assistant Professor in Adhiparasakthi Horticultural College from Feb 2019 to Feb 2020 and in Doon Business School, Dehradun (Sep 2021 to August 2022). She has been winning awards and attending conferences and workshops, She published 8 articles in various national and international journals and continuing her research on hymenopteran parasitoids.

Dr. A. Athithya

Dr. A. Athithya had completed her B.Sc. Agriculture (2012-2016) and M.Sc. (2016-2018) and PhD. (2018-2022) in Agriculture majoring in Agricultural Entomology from Annamalai University (AU), Chidambaram. She had qualified NET conducted by ASRB and ICAR in Agricultural Entomology. She had described a new species of Cosmocomoidea montanus and recorded a new genus Proarescon (Mymaridae).

She had identified nine new species of mymarid parasitoids (Part of Ph. D. work). She took active part in creating an Insect Museum at Entomology Department, Annamalai University. She had attended a training program on “Genomics of agriculturally important insects” conducted by CAAST (Centre for Advanced Agricultural Science and Technology) held at Division of Entomology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi sponsored by World bank - ICAR National Agricultural Higher Education Project. She had presented a paper on “Biodiversity of Indian mymarid egg parasitoids (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea)” at the VIII International Biodiversity Congress, held at Forest Research Institute. She had published six research papers in reputed national and international journals. Currently she is working as Assistant Professor in the department of Agricultural Entomology in The Indian Agriculture College, Radhapuram.

Dr. Maheswari R.S. Nair

Dr.Maheswari R.S. Nair had completed her BSc.(Hons.)Agriculture (2008 – 2012) from College of Agriculture, Vellayani and MSc. (2012 – 2015) from College of Horticulture, Vellanikkara and PhD. (2015 – 2021)from College of Agriculture, Vellayani in Horticulture majoring in Plantation Crops and Spices. She had qualified NET conducted by ASRB and ICAR in Spices, Plantation and Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.

She had published three research papers and one short communication in National and International journals and had presented papers in national and international seminars and as resource person in training on “Value added food products from Aloe vera” Currently she is working as Assistant Professor in the department of Horticulture in the Indian Agriculture College, Radhapuram.

Dr. G.P. Chinnasamy

Dr. G.P. Chinnasamy completed his B.Sc. (Ag.) degree at Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College & Research Institute, Trichy and M.Sc. (Ag.) & Ph.D. in Seed Science and Technology from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. He has worked as Project Fellow in the Department of Agricultural Microbiology at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. He has published 11 research papers in reputed National and International journals.

Dr. C. David Devadhas

Dr. C. David Devadhas, Ph.D., did his Under Graduation in Agriculture, Post Graduation in Horticulture from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore and obtained his Doctoral degree from Annamalai University, Chidambaram. He has brilliant academic and research record. His area of specialization in Arboriculture, Turf, Plant propagation, Landscape Design, Floriculture. He has total experience of 32 years in the field of Horticulture.

He has served in various countries for about 23 years as Senior Engineer (Tree Management), Senior Engineer (Landscaping), Horticulture Manager (Technical) and Nursery Consultant /Researcher. He has participated and presented several research papers in various National, International Seminars, Symposia and Conferences. He is an ISA Certified Arborist from International Society of Arboriculture, USA. He is one of the key persons in laying turf in football courts for the recently concluded FIFA matches in 2022. He has served in countries like Qatar and Singapore.

Dr. A. Senthilkumar

Dr. A. Senthilkumar, Ph.D. did his UG in Horticulture, Periyakulam campus and PG & Ph.D. in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, TNAU, Madurai campus. He has 3.5 years of teaching and research experience. Recipient of Young Achiever Award - 2022 and Certificate of Excellence in Reviewing Award. He has published 11 international and national papers, 4 books/manuals, 13 conference & seminar presentations and several book chapters and popular articles.
